16th Movement: Quia omnis
The sixteenth movement of the Requiem, Quia omnis, is accompanied by video tours of Uspenski Cathedral (Orthodox) in Helsinki, Finland; and St. Catherine’s Church (Othodox) in Parnu, Estonia
Quia Omnis, like each of the composition's movements, was inspired by the beauty and grandeur of some of the world's great cathedrals and churches.
The Text Quia omnis caro (For all flesh; Peter 1:24-25) This text is not included in the Latin liturgy of the Eucharist, but would have been appropriate as the Epistle reading at the Liturgy of the Word. Brahms included the verse in his German Requiem.
For consistency of language, I've included the verse in the Latin that would have been heard in the Roman Requiem Mass prior to the introduction of vernacular translations of the Bible.
The Composition Quia omnis caro, composed in two distinct sections, was inspired by our visits to Orthodox cathedrals and churches in Eastern Europe. The movement is scored for tenor choir, 24 violins, 8 violas, 8 cellos, and 6 double basses.

Quia omnis caro ut fœnum:
et omnis gloria ejus tamquam flos feni.
Exaruit fenum, et flos decidit.
Sed verbum autem Domini
manet in aeternum
For all flesh is as grass,
and all the glory of man
as the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
and the flower thereof falls away.
But the word of the Lord
endures forever
