The conclusion of the Requiem, Lux Aeterna, is followed here by a quiet orchestral blessing by way of postlude, and features a solo violin. It was composed as a meditation on the Anglican adaptation of Philippians 4:6:  “The peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.  And the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be upon you and remain with you forever.  Amen."
